Today I had to do the HIIT run on the treadmill. Maybe it was the lower body weights yesterday, maybe it was the heat (the gym felt like a sauna), maybe it was all the biking I did yesterday and this morning, maybe it was hormones...whatever it was, today I really struggled! I did the same level of intensity I did on Tuesday, but I was having such a hard time that I finally had to back off on my last interval and reduce my tempo - so I didn't reach the highest tempo I was supposed to in the very last segment. But I still was sweating like some mad woman, so I am sure that I still managed to get the benefit I am supposed to get out of that workout. I will keep the level the same next week and see if it goes okay and then take it from there. Phew!
On another, related note, I was just listening to one of my favorite authors, Marianne Williamson's daily podcast and it seemed so fitting to what I am trying to accomplish in many areas of my life, including with Body for Life, I wanted to share it:
"In every moment you are given a choice. Which aspect of yourself will rise up to meet it? Every single moment, every single circumstance and situation offers you a lesson which, although you might not realize this, is perfect for you to practice being the person you are capable of being in some area (whether you think so or not) that you need the practice.
So how are you going to meet the moment? Are you going to be positive, loving, energetic, responsible, honest, authentic - or, are you going to run some game that you have run in the past? A little neurotic, mabye procrastinating, not being totally honest, being lazy, being critical, being judgemental? In every moment, consciously or unconsciously, you make a choice.
So know first of all, that every situation is perfect the way it is in that it offers you a perfect chance to practice the new you. Just like you go to the gym and you get your muscles in shape through accumulated practice of certain weights...we do the same with our personalities and every moment we have the opportunity to practice so that through accumulated repetition of being disciplined, being strong, being positive, we get even better in those areas where we are already good, and we get good in those areas where we have been less than we could be. Every single moment gives you an opportunity to hone your persona perfectly in line with your spirit. Every moment, you make a choice."
Thank you, Marianne. Have a great day, everyone!

Amy, I have been following your BFL progress, you are doing an awesome job. Please keep up the great work! I have failed at some port or other on the HIIT run in the past, so it is not a failure at all since you have found your maximum intensity.
Thanks for the support Mark, it means a lot to me to have you looking over my shoulder!
